Integrated Dermatology

Dr. Kuttner is a board certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist. He earned his medical degree, and Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology, from the State University of New York in Brooklyn. After completing a medical internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, he went on to complete a dermatology residency at Duke University Medical Center. Subsequently, he did back to back one year dermatopathology fellowships at New York Hospital - Cornell University Medical Center and New York University Medical Center. After practicing dermatology and dermatopathology in New York for almost 15 years, Dr. Kuttner relocated to Palm Beach County in 2005 to continue practicing dermatology.

Dr. Kuttner's rare combination of training provides important benefits for his patients. The dual board certification in dermatology and skin pathology allows for customization of treatment for each individual patient's condition. This is exemplified by his approach to skin cancer treatment, which includes not only comprehensive patient examination, but also microscopic examination of the biopsy specimen to determine the treatment procedure best suited for that individual situation.

In addition to dermatology, Dr. Kuttner has a passion for integrative/holistic/natural medicine. As part of his interest in anti-aging medicine and quest to provide better healthcare for his patients, Dr. Kuttner continues to further his education. He has successfully completed The American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine's fellowship in Anti-Aging, Regenerative and Functional Medicine, and in 2013 became a member of The Institute for Functional Medicine's first graduating class of certified functional medicine practitioners. In February of 2015 Dr. Kuttner joined the the first group of physicians to become certified by the American Board of Integrative Medicine (ABOIM). Finally, in May 2016, Dr. Kuttner received a masters degree of medical sciences for metabolic and nutritional medicine from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine.

For patients who prefer a holistic approach to medicine and/or have become frustrated with conventional medicine, we work closely with you to diagnose and treat the true underlying causes of your disease. At Integrated Dermatology, we prefer to treat the entire patient, not just a specific condition. Some of the tools we use to benefit our patients include but are not limited to:

  1. Nutritional and dietary counseling
  2. Lifestyle counseling and stress reduction
  3. Blood, urine, stool and saliva laboratory testing to help determine medical risk factors, food sensitivities and nutritional deficiencies.
  4. Counseling patients on the use of nutritional supplements
  5. Minimizing exposure to harmful chemicals and pharmaceuticals
In a press release announcing the results of the initial board examinations, ABOIM Chair Randy Horwitz, MD, PhD. remarked that "These integrative medicine board-certified physicians are now able to present themselves as doctors who incorporate the concepts of disease management, health promotion, illness prevention and healthy lifestyle into their medical practices - all elements necessary to provide the best possible health care to patients."
