Integrated Dermatology

Microneedling is a procedure that utilizes very fine, sterilized needles to prick the skin surface and create channels for new collagen and elastin to grow.  This procedure stimulates the body’s natural healing process, restoring a more youthful glow to the skin and improving areas of sun damage or scarring.

Microneedling 2

When the skin experiences a wound, the natural response is to create collagen and elastin to repair the damage.  The new tissue that is created is smoother, tighter, and without skin discoloration.  This allows microneedling to be highly effective at improving the appearance of acne scarring, surgical scars, stretch marks, melasma, and aging skin in general.  It is also ideal for patients troubled with large pores, brown spots, loose skin, and fine lines and wrinkles.

Our treatments are specifically designed for each patient’s skin condition, treatment area and preference.  These treatments can be combined with various supplements and topical therapies (i.e., exosomes) to improve the natural healing response and outcome.  Microneedling is a procedure that is safe and effective for all areas of the body, patients of any age, and all skin types.

At Integrated Dermatology of West Palm Beach, we apply topical anesthetic to the treatment area before any microneedling procedure to minimize any discomfort.  While it is generally recommended for patients to have five treatments for optimal results, many patients are satisfied after just 1-3 treatments.  The treatment time varies based on the area and condition being addressed but is typically 5-10 minutes per treatment.
